Ekda Tu Pranihi
Harish Anand Thilakan (or HAT as he’s commonly known) is a digital marketing expert and marketing consultant. Ekda tu pranihi roughly translates from Sanskrit into “You live only once, take all your chances” – a motto he has lived every moment of his life by, till date. He has the sanskrit version of the saying, permanently inked on his forearm.
Based out of Chennai, Harish founded and continues to be Managing Partner at Influx Interactive, one of India’s leading digital marketing agencies. Since 2005, Influx has provided creative design and web marketing services to some of India’s largest brands including Reliance Communications, Big FM, Zapak, Kingfisher Airlines, Royal Enfield, PVR Cinemas, INOX Leisure and Apollo Hospitals. Harish also consults with one of South India’s leading saree brands in their pursuit of creating India’s first international saree brand – Palam Silks. Since recently, Harish is also part of the team behind Haptik – an app that aims to change the way people experience customer service.
In July 2013, Harish got married to Manika Kakkar (now MAT – Manika Anand Thilakan) in a fairy tale wedding that was made official within 50 days of them meeting each other at Rahul & Deepikah Bhardwaj’s winter wedding in Delhi, November 2012! Manika runs Paaro Oye, a spunky brand for women specialising in clothing and fashion jewellery. Together, they live with Harish’s mother & their labrador Ekda, in Chennai, South India.
Hobbies / Likes
Harish evinces a keen interest in single malts, cars, watches and fashion brands. He’s a gadget freak and this causes the family great grief. Harish also loves talking to people and advising on entrepreneurship and it’s highs and lows. His love for food is no secret and he writes a blog on his gastronomic journeys. It is this love that also gives birth to his twitter handle – @TheSharck. His passion of serving (rarely drinks) the finest single malts & wines led him to convert one of the three bedrooms in his Chennai apartment into a full fledged bar, popularly called B-52.
